January 2019

We had a very busy January!  Two of the highlights was our trip to the mountains with friends and Hailey's 2nd Birthday!
The trip to the mountains was interesting...13 adults and 12 children ranging in age from 1.5 years old to 9 years old all crammed into one house!?
The kids were surprisingly great with everyone getting along for the most part.  Hailey of course chose this time to exert her authority.  She wanted to sleep with me or on me and wouldn't even let Justin hold her without throwing an epic fit which would wake the whole house. So, for 3 nights we were very cozy, the four of us in a queen sized bed.  Yes, Addy slept with us too!  She tried to stay in the kids bunk bed room, but every night she'd wander in.
Next up, Hailey turned 2!  It seems like yesterday when we had her, but also like a million years ago.  She is a sassy, bossy, happy, snuggly little girl.  She definitely thinks she runs the house (and she might)...she loves her big sis so much and we constantly hear, "I Love you Addy" which completely melts my heart.  Every morning when we drop Addy off at school you can hear Addy telling Hailey she will see her after school and they exchange I love you's. Addy continues to be just the best big sister.  She puts up with a lot of crap from Hailey but takes most of it in stride.
Hailey had her 2 year well checkup the day after her birthday.  I spoke with the doctor about her horrible sleeping habits (waking at night for sometimes 3 hours at a time).  She gave me some helpful pointers, but noted we have a very stubborn child on our hands and anything we enforce we have to stick tight with it.  Some of us are better then others at laying down the law (aka Justin).  She listens better to him because he doesn't take as much crap from her!  Anyways, here are her stats -
Weight - 26lbs 9.5oz (50th %)
Height - 33'' (37th %)
Head Circumference - 18.5'' (37th %)

She of course put up a fight when she needed to sit to be weighed and when we told her to stand against the wall for her height.  I think she remembers the times they have given her shots because she doesn't seem to mind once the doctor comes in to check her out.

All in all, it's been a good month!
