June 2019

June was such a long, fun month!  It started out a little rough when Justin went up to NY for a one last visit before his parents moved.  While Addison was an angel, Hailey....was not.  It was a long couple days and everyone was overjoyed when daddy returned!
Addy finished up 1st grade at Hilburn Academy.  She has about 6 weeks off until she starts 2nd grade at Sycamore Creek.  It'll be a little bit of a change for us going from a traditional school year calendar to a year round, but I think it'll be good for her.
Next up was a visit from Uncle Adam and Grandpa & Nonna moving to Raleigh!  The girls are so excited that they will be here full time, but they are still getting use to it.  They try to get every ounce of playtime in with them and I have to continually say, they are here for Life!!
Justin and the neighbor men started building the girls swing set the weekend Uncle Adam was here.  I think Justin was outside doing swing set stuff or yard stuff for a total of 15 hours that weekend.  The girls were overjoyed that they can go outside and swing or slide any time they want.  It was a looong weekend and Justin really couldn't have done it without the help of the neighbors.
We got to spend some time with Amanda and the kids.  The two little girls are going to be trouble for sure!  They had everyone cracking up and they sure do keep us on our toes.
We celebrated father's day and my birthday back-to-back.  The following weekend we got to go with Taylor to pick up the newest member of their family, Pepper.  Addy & Hailey thought it was so fun and of course wanted a new puppy as well.
Hailey has been pretty consistent with using the bathroom at school.  She's hit or miss at home, but we continue to work with her and she has 3 people constantly cheering her on.  Hailey had been doing better sleep wise, but has had a few hiccups this month.  It's taking us about an hour to get her to sleep at night.  Then she's been getting up in the middle of the night upset where one of us has to go in and we basically will then fall asleep on her floor next to her crib.  I'm hoping she drops this bad habit sometime soon because it's not fun.  Hailey is saying a TON of words and using sentences.  Addy is still the one who understands her the most and i'll ask for her to interpret her frequently, but most of the time we get her.
