June 2017

This month has been a pretty good month and have had a couple of firsts!  On Saturday June 3rd, Hailey rolled over from her back to her tummy several times!  The whole family was there to witness and everyone clapped and cheered for her.  It was so exciting and Addy is Hailey’s biggest cheerleader!  Hailey then rolled back from her tummy to her back!  It seemed like it was by accident, but it happened none-the-less.  She’s been a rolling machine ever since.  Justin & I think she’ll be trying to crawl before we know it.  The following weekend, June 10th, I decided to give Hailey some rice cereal.  She had gotten a horrible stomach bug and couldn’t stop going to the bathroom, so they suggested we give her some to help her out.  She seemed to like it, but I haven’t been pushing it too much.  She’s had it a few times for dinner, but I am not consistent.  Addison loves to help and feeds her really well!
I think Hailey has been saying Ma-Ma…others in the family don’t necessarily agree with me, but I don’t care!  Addy actually yelled at me the other day and said, “Practice saying da-da or Ad-dy with her, she already does ma-ma”!
Hailey also got her first ear infection! I had her at the docs a day before she turned 5 months and sure enough, she was fussy for a reason! She had been up every 2 hours the night before and just seemed off.
Addison had her first ever dance recital and totally rocked it!  There were only 3 kids total and she went out on the stage fearless, we were so proud!
Addison also had her pre-k graduation!  It seems very bitter sweet that she will be starting Kindergarten in the fall.  She was literally at ChildTime since she was 5 months old!
Sleeping – Hailey is still in our room!  I have set a date for her to “move-out” starting on June 30th…it’s time!  She’s been doing well at daycare, they said she rolls over and is a tummy sleeper.  Hailey has been waking only once a night.  It is usually around 4-5:30 and sometimes it is harder to get her back to sleep than other days!  She is usually happy, it’s just tough to be awake that early!
Eating – she is eating about 5 oz. of formula every 2-3 hours give or take.  As I said earlier, we tried out some rice cereal.  She does seem to enjoy and I’ll only really give her some at dinner time.  As the month moves on, I’m sure we’ll start to add in some other items to see what she may like.
Clothing – Hailey is wearing 6 or 9 month clothing.  She is long!  She is continuing to fill out and her cheeks go on for days!  She’s just so cute!
Stats – She weighed in at 15 lbs 6.5 oz when i took her in for her ear infection.
Loves – she is loving most of life!  There isn’t much this girl complains about!! She loves watching Brinkley and thinks she’s hysterical!
Hates – she hates when I have to change her clothes.  She gets super annoyed and starts to cry slightly.  She also doesn’t like getting her nose wiped!  The poor thing has a nasty cough/cold and cries almost immediately after I wipe her nose!
